I have received several requests for the use of various photo's and/or graphics on this website for training purposes. Therefore, I have added the following " Terms of Use" to the website. As I've stated, this website was designed for fellow law enforcement officers and to promote and encourage the study of this discipline. I encourage the use of the photographs and/or images on this website for law enforcement training purposes, as well as educators of both High School and College. I have spent alot of my personal time on this website and only ask that the user of any photographs/images ask for permission first and give credit where credit is due. It's not alot to ask for and it's simply the right and legal thing to do.

 

Use of Photographs and/or Images:

 

The photographs, images, graphics and/or drawings on this website are the property of the author/owner and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted or otherwise used, except with the prior written permission of the author/owner.  If you wish to use any of them for presentations, training and education purposes you may do so under the following conditions:

 

  • Credit must be given to the author/owner of the photograph and/or image that is used. This credit should be placed

               near the image presented. (Example: Photograph courtesy of Michael E. Dickerson, www.bloody2.com)

 

  • The user agree's that the photographs and/or images will not be used for commercial purposes and/or monetary

              gain.

 

  • The user agree's to provide the author/owner with a copy of the training material to be utilized which will contain the

              images. (Note: Only the portion which will contain my photographs and/or images need be sent and may be

              delivered by electronic format/email.)

 

  • Acceptable use for any photographs and/or graphics is limited to in-person training events and presentations.

 

  • The user agrees to not upload any photograph and/or image from this website to any other website to include, but

              not limited to: Blogs, Discussion boards, Personal website, Social websites, i.e., MySpace, Facebook and Twitter,

              etc...

 

  • The user agrees to not make any more copies than what is required for their training and/or presentation.

 

  • The user understands that even though permission to use a photograph and/or image may have been granted; the

              ownership of said photograph(s) and/or images belongs to the author and is protected by copyright laws.
