Low Velocity Impact Spatter (LVIS)
0 (gravity) -5 fps

Low velocity Impact spatter is referred to as the force applied to a blood source ranging from the natural gravitational pull upwards to 5 fps. A few examples of these types of patterns would be: blood dripping into blood, stepping into blood, or perhaps an object was dropped into a blood source. The following pictures are examples of blood dripping into blood. The approximate height was 36".

The blood dripping into blood causes satellite spatter (small stains) to be produced. Since the drops were landing in close proximity to the wall, the path/vector of the ones nearest to the wall were shortened. Notice the V pattern which resulted because of this.
