Wet T-Shirt Experiment
I saw an episode of Forensic Files the other night where this guy was stabbed in the rain and started wondering about the stains that would be produced. Obviously they would be diluted; however, I was still curious. The pictures below are from releasing blood drops (whole human blood) from a dropper at approx. 18" above the soaked t-shirt which laid flat. After about 5 minutes, I hung the t-shirt up vertically to dry.
What I found interesting about this experiment was how the wet fabric facilitated the dispersion or migration of the blood as well as the stain pattern created when the shirt was hung vertically for drying. Notice in the picture below the darker portion of the stain(s) as a result of gravity.
