Cast-Off Experiment: Hammer

Front target area of cast-off experiment (Hammer). Notice the patterns are linear in nature. The bloodstain expert will look at these stains to try and determine the type of weapon or object used to create them, as well as determining a minimum number of blows/strikes. Additionally, cast-off stains can give an indication of victim and assailant positions within the crime scene.

Overhead view!

Notice the spatter is now closer to 90 degrees in the center. This is approximately where I was positioned.
