I enlisted into the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 1986 as a Military Policeman.  I served with the 45th Infantry Division for one year before  re-enlisting full time in the Regular Army.  I spent the next twenty years serving as a Military Police Officer, Patrol Supervisor and finally transitioning into Army Recruiting until my retirement in March of 2008.

I enjoyed my time in the Army and know that I will come to miss it on occasion.  Having the opportunity to serve my country was an honor.  While in the Army I had the opportunity to travel to different countries such as: Germany, Italy, Cuba, Grand Turk & Caicos Islands, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. I retired as a Sergeant First Class and I am a veteran of the Persian Gulf War (Cease Fire).

Since my retirement from the Army, I decided to continue in Law Enforcement and now work as an Oklahoma State Park Ranger at Lake Thunderbird.  Lake Thunderbird is located approximately nine miles East of Norman, Oklahoma.  The purpose of this website is to share my basic knowledge of this subject with fellow Law Enforcement personnel  in hopes that it may further assist them in their initial recognition of various stain patterns. The site will display different types of stain patterns and personal experiments of mine to better assist them in their understanding of basic pattern recognition as well as promote the study of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. Understand that I consider myself a student of this discipline; not an expert. It takes years of experience to obtain such a status.

I became interested in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis in 2003 and began my research in this subject by reading books from some of the nations leading experts.  I realized of course that I would have to receive some type of training to better understand this subject, so I enrolled in a basic course taught by Tom Bevel.  Having received this initial instruction, I knew that I wanted to further my understanding and training in this discipline.  I have since completed his advanced course in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and Crime Scene Reconstruction I.

I am a graduate of the Oklahoma Police Academy (CLEET) and a  member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA), as well as the Oklahoma Division of the International Association for Identification (OKIAI).
